Spokane River drift Hold on! We put in at the parking lot by the valley YMCA and ride down stream to Plant's Ferry Park. This is definitely an advanced dive, 'cause once you start down, the chances of ending up with your buddy are slim at best. There's no air sharing here - you're on your own. The good new is, most of the ride is only 5' to 15' deep, and some places even require you to ride the surface waves. It's a fast ride, 30 to 35 minutes. And watch for the statue of the Native American on the North side, then head for the take-out at the park. On the last dive, my buddy missed the exit and had quite the hike back! Forget wild waters. This is one of my favorite dives! |
