Welcome Scuba Divers!
Spring is here & the water is warming!

We are all looking forward to a Spring of safe and fun adventure underwater!
Most of our dives
will be made locally, so it
is easy to get in a quick dive after work. We will also
have the occasional Saturday dive. Believe it or not, there are many interesting things to see in our
local waters. There are shipwrecks, small caverns, large structures, and wall drop-offs.

There are shallow dives, like Liberty Lake, which has a maximum depth of 25 feet, where at night
we see tons of fish; and deep dives in places like lake Coeur d Alene and Pend Oreille,
where we do trimix dives below 150'. There's a great train wreck in
lake Pend d' Orille.
Every dive site will have opportunities for the novice diver and many
will have
optional advanced dives as well. If you're a technical diver, we
do some nice trimix dives, too!
Scooter diver? We do that, too!

I encourage you to bring along your non-diving friends and family. My
wife, Priscilla, often comes
along as “shore patrol”, which really means lounging on the beach
catching rays and talking to
friends. Sometimes (during summer months) at the end of a dive, she’ll even have
the bar-b-cue grilling
up a mess of chicken or ribs!
I encourage you to rent and purchase your dive gear, as well as acquire
your air fills from
Atlantis Aquatics on Appelway in
Greenacres. I can personally vouch for the integrity of this shop,
and they have agreed to a special discount for our group scuba divers!
As always, please make sure your dive gear is in top condition and has been
serviced as per the
manufactures instructions.
If you are not scuba certified, wish to re-take the Open Water course,
or take a refresher course,
please contact me directly and I will help you get set up to take a
class at Atlantis. Classes are
inexpensive and normally takes just 2 weekends.
Those who have less than 3 dives in the past six months, you will need to take a
skills refresher at
Atlantis, or talk to me about other options for refreshing your skills.
Continuing our scuba education is always beneficial (this winter, I completed
full Hypoxic Trimix),
so don't be shy in asking about the Advanced Open Water, Nitrox, Rescue course
or technical classes.
Remember, as a diver in this group you are free to attend all, some, or none of
the dives. Its up to
you! Come and join us when you feel like it. There is no attendance
taking or anyone you have to
call if you can or cannot make it. Just show up and dive! And new divers can join
our group at any
time. Please feel free to call me if you have any questions, need more
information, or just want to talk.
Look over the schedule and the dive site information included on this site. If
you have any dive site
suggestions, please feel free to make them. Were always open to new places
to dive!
Safe diving!
